This whole area is to be re-dedicated to the re-registration project - please bear with us on this while the work is undertaken. The developments will be ready for access by the end of August.
Platforms: wraps and supermarkets
One of the innovations within the Financial Services industry over the past few years is the development of what are generally termed “wrap platforms” or sometimes “supermarkets”. These are generally internet-based sites which enable financial advisers to view and manage clients’ portfolios of savings and investments within one central area. Some providers allow individual clients to access their own portfolios.
Advances in technology and the demand for quick, easy access to such information have driven some of the development and some of the issues. Some structures feature an open architecture where charges are transparent. Others have developed where separate charges are not detailed but are built in to the products and services. Some are more traditional structures, some provide a limited range of products.
There are many variations and within this area of the TISA website, we will be providing a range of information, including a list of platforms currently available and links to sites which can provide information on the different platforms.
This area will be developed over the coming months but please use the buttons on the left of this page to view the initial information we have available.
