The Essentials of Money Management

Because good financial health matters

Introducing TISA’s latest training initiative to help firms support staff in the workplace and promote good financial habits early on.

Research by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS)* has shown that many young people entering the world of work are not prepared for the money-related realities that lie ahead. This can lead to debt problems, affect their mental health and also find them suffering in the work place. Moreover, with the UK cost of living crisis, there has never been a more important time to help your staff to become more financially resilient for the future.

In keeping with TISA’s mission to promote financial wellbeing for all, TISA has developed a new course, The Essentials of Money Management, which covers important everyday money matters, including budgeting, saving, investing, borrowing, as well as how to avoid being scammed. The course aims to equip attendees with the knowledge and life skills to make better financial decisions, including the benefits of starting to save early, however small the amount may be. By the end of the session, delegates will be able to make more informed decisions, leading to improved confidence in handling money and better wellbeing.

The workshop is ideally positioned for new entrants to your firm and can compliment any existing employee induction/ personal development programmes, contributing towards a work environment supportive of health and wellbeing for your staff. The course helps deliver on your CSR objectives, whilst staff earn valuable CPD hours.

Meet Jenna (our case study)

The course will follow the financial journey of 18 year old Jenna throughout the course, bringing the concepts to life by using real-life situations that delegates can relate to.
