Despite what Boards may think, all financial services businesses face increasing cyber threats which are existential in nature and scope. The scope and technical nature of the issues can seem bewildering, given the limited FCA specific rules and very high-level guidance on offer, even from thematic reviews. There is a gulf in language and expectations between management and technical staff, and there is often confusion as to the nature of the role of the Compliance function.

This short online course aims to help to position cyber security at the heart of a firm’s monitoring and controls, using traditional techniques (such as the Conduct Risk Framework) and the Senior Managers and Certification regime, as well as helping to identify relevant Guidance and provide ideas on plugging skills gaps in compliance to create a holistic approach to cyber security.
