Mark Manning
Technical Specialist, Sustainable Finance and Stewardship, FCA
Mark Manning leads the FCA’s policy work on sustainable finance and investor stewardship. In this role, he is responsible for several initiatives, including the FCA’s implementation of the TCFD’s recommendations and the FCA’s work with IOSCO on corporate reporting standards on sustainability. Prior to joining the FCA in 2018, Mark spent fifteen years as a central banker with the Bank of England (BoE) and the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA). He held a number of senior roles, with a particular focus on policy, research and supervision in the field of financial market infrastructures (FMIs). Before joining the official sector, Mark spent several years as a fixed income and currency fund manager with Kleinwort Benson Investment Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Mark holds Master’s degrees in Economics and Finance, from University College London and London Business School, respectively.

Fong Yee Chan
Head of ESG Strategy for Europe, Vanguard
Fong Yee is Head of ESG Strategy for Europe where she works across the business in support of Vanguard's ESG strategy, including product strategy, client support, ESG regulations, and communications.
She joins from FTSE Russell where she was responsible for FTSE Russell’s Sustainable Investment index and data products in EMEA. Before joining FTSE Russell, Fong Yee was ESG director at eFront leading its private equity ESG solution. She has also worked at the PRI, heading up the organization’s private equity and asset owner programs. Finally, Fong Yee is on the Board of Directors at the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association.
Cathrine de Coninck-Lopez
Global Head of ESG, Invesco
Based in the UK, Cathrine is Global Head of ESG for Invesco with responsibility for enabling and leading best practices in ESG capabilities across Invesco including ESG integration, research, voting and engagement, supporting the distribution team with client engagement, and advising the product teams on ESG innovation. Cathrine leads a team of ESG professionals located across EMEA, US and Asia.
Cathrine took on global responsibility for Invesco’s ESG practice in September 2019. Prior to this role, Cathrine spent two years as Head of ESG for Invesco’s Henley Investment Centre. Cathrine started her career at Columbia Threadneedle Investments in 2008 as a responsible investment analyst and has experience across the responsible investment spectrum of ESG integration to specific fund strategies. Cathrine is a non-executive board member of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF) and a member of the UK Investment Association Stewardship Committee.
Cathrine holds an MBA from London Business School, a MSc in Water Science, Policy and Management from Oxford University and a BSc in Environmental Science from Nottingham University. Cathrine also holds the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Society of the UK.
Dr Nazia M Habib
Co-Founder and Managing Director, Cambridge Sustainable Investment Partners
Founder and Research Director at the Resilience and Sustainable Development Programme (RSDP) at the University of Cambridge, Dr Nazia is a policy systems specialist with a background in economics and sustainability science. Aside from teaching and researching on decision science and policy making at Cambridge, Dr Habib is currently a Fellow with the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), and a Special Advisor to the UN Food Systems Summit and a member of several Cambridge University based research centres CISL, and CSAP to name a few. She is an alumni of Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Columbia University. Dr Habib has advised over twenty governments on sustainable development and climate change related policy issues. She has developed multiple methodologies that have been adopted by international agencies to improve their decision-making process.
Michael Jones

Michael is a pension partner, he is experienced in commercial pension schemes and pension scheme consolidation.
A pensions partner within Eversheds Sutherland’s Employment, Labor and Pensions Group, Michael advises trustees and providers of commercial pension schemes, including DC master trusts, DB master trusts, DB superfunds and other consolidation vehicles.
Michael advised five DC master trusts through the authorisation process with the Pensions Regulator and has been involved in some of the most cutting-edge transactions in the industry, including Part VII transfers of master trust business and the first regulated transfer between master trusts under continuity option one.
As part of his business, Michael advises clients on regulatory and legal issues relating to scheme investment, including unit-linked policies, TCFD reports, Stewardship Code submissions, statement of investment principles and responsible investment policies.
Richard Jones
Co-Founder and Managing Director, Cambridge Sustainable Investment Partners
Senior figure in Banking, Investment and Insurance with over thirty years experience. Over the past thirteen years, Richard has led EU and UK-regulated Investment, Life Insurance, Banking and FinTech businesses as CEO. He has worked extensively with regulators around the world to improve financial inclusion and to help support investment and trade flows. At HSBC, as Global Deputy Head of Group Retirement Businesses, he led the Group’s work with Oxford University (Institute of Ageing) on the Future of Retirement, and as Managing Director of HSBC Insurance, he led the Group’s Customer Experience initiatives focused on using technology to upgrade all touch points.
He most recently co-founded CSIP with Dr Habib to help promote the use of systems-based thinking to help manage complexity and improve sustainable decision-making.
Olivia Kennedy, CFA
Senior DC Investment Strategist, State Street Global Advisors
Olivia is a Senior Defined Contribution Investment Strategist at State Street Global Advisors. She is responsible for developing investment strategies and thought leadership. She works with DC pension plans, consultants and platforms in EMEA, predominantly in the UK and Ireland. She is a member of SSGA’s Defined Contribution Investment Group who is responsible for the oversight and ongoing review of the Timewise Target Retirement Funds.
Olivia is also a member of SSGA’s Inclusion & Diversity Council and sits on the DC Committee of the Society of Professional Pensions.
Before joining SSGA in 2017, Olivia worked for Willis Towers Watson as a DC Investment Consultant where she advised DC plans and managed a team of Investment Analysts.
Olivia holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of East Anglia and is a CFA charterholder.
Katherine Patel, CFA

Katherine is a Consultant on Aon’s Defined Contribution (DC) advisory team and Head of DC Responsible Investment. She works with trust-based pension schemes and is involved in advising on a range of themes including investment strategy, governance and member communications, with a particular focus on ESG solutions.
Anastasia Petraki
Sustainability Investment Director, Schroders
Anastasia Petraki is an Investment Director supporting the Schroders Sustainable Investment capability and responsible for ESG regulation monitoring and implementation, content and thought leadership research, and client communications. She is a subject matter expert on global sustainability regulations and public policy. Anastasia joined Schroders in February 2019 as Head of Policy Research in the Strategic Research Unit. Prior to joining Schroders, she was Head of Research and Statistics at the Investment Association. Anastasia holds a PhD from the University of Bath, UK.
Phil Spyropoulos
Partner, Eversheds Sutherland
Phil advises asset managers and securities services firms on regulation, market practice, and market developments relating to investment fund structures, regulatory initiatives (both domestic and European) and commercial agreements.
Phil is a specialist in investor disclosure and this work increasingly sees him advising on the implementation of forthcoming regulatory initiatives, particularly in the areas of ESG and sustainable/responsible investing where he leads on our Financial Services work and acts as chair of an industry working group.
Phil’s private practice experience has been supplemented by a series of industry secondments, including a role with the Financial Conduct Authority’s Fund Authorisations team. Phil maintains a substantial industry network, acting as an expert advisor to the Investment Association and TISA as well as holding a committee position with the Confederation of British Industry.
