Purpose

The Cash & Investment Savings Policy Council is responsible for relationships with HMRC and HMT over new policy proposals, such as ISA simplification, and the implementation of government initiatives, such as LISA, Help to Save and Help to Buy: ISA.

Areas of focus

  • Simplification of savings and investments, particularly ISA products.
  • Making the best use of savings and investments throughout a lifetime (thresholds/guidance/lifetime requirements).
  • Consumer understanding.
