Code of Conduct

For TISA Events and Training
Events & training

The purpose of our Code of Conduct is to create a positive, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere for everyone involved. It is to outline the guidelines for delegates attending and participating in TISA Events & Training on the expected standards of conduct, including the fair treatment of others and the facilities, both in-person and virtually.

We want to promote an environment where all our delegates have an enjoyable experience and feel comfortable in contributing and engaging in meaningful discussions.

Expected Behaviours:

  • Treat all participants with respect and consideration, valuing a diversity of views and opinions
  • Use inclusive language that promotes a friendly and welcoming environment, being mindful of your tone
  • Refrain from using offensive or exclusionary language.
  • Maintain a professional and positive atmosphere. Refrain from disruptive behaviour, including but not limited to any form of verbal or physical abuse, and disruptive intoxication
  • If you witness or experience any behaviours that are not in compliance with this Code of Conduct, please report it to the event organisers immediately

Participant Privacy:

  • Some of our events are conducted under the Chatham House Rule during which sensitive information is conveyed and we therefore ask delegates to respect the principle and for information not to be shared onwards
  • Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information or opinions from participants without their explicit consent
  • Do not record the event without permission from the organisers
  • Do not take videos and/photographs if you are explicitly asked not to do so

If you are attending an In-person event:

  • Delegates have a duty to take reasonable care for their own safety when attending events and have a responsibility to ensure the safety of others if affected by their own activities
  • Arrive with enough time to spare for registration, and any associated security checks
  • Respect the venue, its facilities, and resources. Please do not enter any restricted areas
  • Attendees will have access to a cloakroom or cloak rail. However, your personal belongings are your responsibility

If you are attending an event virtually:

  • Do not forward joining links
  • Ensure you have checked your audio elements
  • Mute audio when not speaking
  • Please respect any etiquette the Chair/trainer applies to the event such as raising your hand to speak

We appreciate you taking on board these guidelines, and most importantly hope you have an enjoyable event.
