PIMA GAINS SECURITIES & INVESTMENT INSTITUTE ACCREDITATION FOR IAQ COURSES

January 6, 2005

The PEP and ISA Managers Association (PIMA) has announced that it has received accreditation from the Securities & Investment Institute to deliver Investment Administration Qualification educational modules. This award reflects PIMA’s increasing focus on training and support services for the industry and comes as PIMA implements a major expansion of its current offerings.

A statement by SII explains their policy of accreditation, ‘The Securities & Investment Institute has a policy of formally recognising those training providers who meet the Securities & Investment Institute’s stringent quality assurance requirements. The accreditation process includes observation of classroom training and other forms of learning support including e-learning as well as substantive documentation.’

Carol Knight, PIMA’s Head of Member Services said:

‘We are thrilled to have gained the accreditation of the SII. This clearly shows the breadth and quality of PIMA’s training offerings to prepare students for the IAQ exams.

The courses have been designed in close collaboration with experts across the financial services industry with special and close coordination with the examination body. Tutors will provide classroom-based training courses, mock exams and e-mail support giving attendees full and comprehensive knowledge of the modules, leading up to the qualification exam. This will ensure rigorous training for students, once again raising the already high standards within the industry. Furthermore, PIMA will continue to broaden and strengthen educational offerings as we build on our initial successes.’

PIMA Director General Tony Vine-Lott said,

‘I am very pleased that PIMA training has gained the accreditation of the Securities & Investment Institute. PIMA will continue to offer a broad range of training opportunities for members and others who wish to take advantage of our exemplary educational programmes.’
