USA TREASURY NTS 2% SNR 15/11/2026 USD100 – BZ1BP78

April 20, 2023

For government issued securities, the only necessary criteria that has to meet for the securities to be ISA qualifying is that they are issued by (or on behalf of) a government in the European Economic Area (EEA) including the UK. So, all UK Gilts (Gilt Edged Securities) and UK Treasury Bills are stocks & shares ISA qualifying.

US Treasury notes (like this one) will not be ISA qualifying, as the US is obviously not part of the EEA or UK.

Government securities

Government securities are qualifying investments if they’re:

  • gilt-edged securities (“gilts”)
  • gilt strips
  • securities issued by or on behalf of a government of the UK or the government of any EEA State
  • strips of securities issued by or on behalf of a government of the UK or the government of any EEA State
