BNP UK and Japan Defensive Growth Plan September 2023 & RBC FTSE Income Plan September 2023 – XS2293299447 & XS2632529264
These structured products are both issued as a kind of note/debt instrument and fall into the category of ‘securities’ for ISA qualification purposes. To qualify for ISA inclusion, either the security or the shares in the issuing company need to be listed on a recognised stock exchange or admitted to trading on a recognised stock exchange in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK (see ISA Guidance https://www.gov.uk/guidance/stocks-and-shares-investments-for-isa-managers#compsecur ). The third possibility is that the securities are issued by a company which is a subsidiary (at least 75%) of a parent company whose shares are listed on a recognised stock exchange or admitted to trading on a recognised stock exchange in the EEA.
In this case, both securities will meet these ISA requirements meaning that the shares in either the issuing company or the parent company of the issuing company meet the necessary listing/trading requirements outlined above. So they should both qualify for stocks & shares ISA inclusion.
