Gartner Inc – USU33791AD36
I can’t find anything on this stock, albeit it’s clearly a security.
The current ISA regulations state that for a security to be ISA qualifying it must pass the listing test. In summary, either the security itself of the shares in the issuing company need to be either listed on a recognised stock exchange or admitted to trading on a recognised stock exchange in the European Economic Area (EEA) including the UK.
In this case, if the issuing company is Gartner Inc shares are listed on a recognised stock exchange (see links below), the security will be ISA qualifying on that basis. It doesn’t matter if the security itself is not listed/traded on a recognised stock exchange.
We are starting to see more situations where share in the US are simply ‘traded’ on the NYSE without being ‘listed’ so it’s difficult to give a definitive answer based on the information on the NYS/company websites. All we can say is this security would qualify subject to the shares them being listed on the NYSE (not traded).
