Leverage Shares 5x Long US Tech 100 ETP Securities – XS2399364152
An Exchange Traded Product (ETP) applies to both Exchange Traded Notes (ETN) and Exchange Traded Commodities (ETC).
Exchange traded commodities (ETCs) and exchange traded notes (ETNs) are treated as securities for ISA qualification purposes and fall under the category of qualifying securities, i.e.., to qualify for ISA inclusion, either the security or the shares in the issuing company need to be listed on a recognised stock exchange or admitted to trading on a recognised stock exchange in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK (see ISA Guidance https://www.gov.uk/guidance/stocks-and-shares-investments-for-isa-managers#compsecur ).
This ETN/ETP i.e.., the security is traded on the Börse Frankfurt (a recognised stock exchanges) so on that basis, the security should qualify for stocks & shares ISA inclusion.
The Börse Frankfurt stock exchange is recorded in the ‘not listed’ column in the same way as ‘AIM’ is. So, shares traded on the Börse Frankfurt segment of the exchange don’t meet the definition of ‘listed’ on a recognised stock exchange but, like AIM traded shares, do meet the definition of being ‘admitted to trading on a recognised stock exchange in the EEA or the UK’. So, they are ISA qualifying for that reason.
The ETN/ETP is also admitted to trading on the Euronext/Amsterdam, which is a recognised stock exchange for ISA purposes.
