To qualify for ISA inclusion, a share has to be officially listed on a recognised stock exchange (see ISA Guidance https://www.gov.uk/guidance/stocks-and-shares-investments-for-isa-managers#shareinv) or, from 5 August 2013, admitted to trading on a recognised stock exchange in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK. From the initial research we have carried out Its common shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol “LIN” (see 4th link below) therefore, on that basis, it will qualify for stocks & shares ISA inclusion.

Where a share has a “dual listing” on more than one exchange (like this one), as long as one of those exchanges is a recognised stock exchange and passes the necessary ISA test (listed on a recognised stock exchange or traded on a recognised stock exchange in the EEA or UK), the share will be ISA qualifying and can be purchased on any available exchange and held in ISA’s.
