Tower Securities Preference Shares – XS2881764851

September 24, 2024

So, most of these types of structured products are issued as either a note (like this one) or certificate which is treated as a type of security.

So, for ISA purposes, they would have to meet the ‘qualifying securities’ criteria. This means that they would have to meet the ‘listing’ requirement which is satisfied as long as the security itself or the shares in the issuing company are listed on a recognised stock exchange or traded on a recognised stock exchange in the EEA including the UK.

The link below confirms the notes will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (recognised stock exchange) so this would mean they qualify for ISA inclusion. If we also check the list of recognised stock exchanges, we can see this is admitted to trading on the Euro MTF, although ‘not listed’ would still be acceptable on the basis of that evidence, I will say that the notes qualify by virtue of being admitted to trading on a recognised stock exchange in the EEA and listed on the Luxembourg stock exchange.
