The FCA has issued the second of its policy statements concerning the implementation of the Investment Firm Prudential Regime (IFPR), the new UK prudential regime for MiFID investment firms, specifying the near final rules and outlining the received responses to its second out of three Consultation Papers.

One more Policy Statement is anticipated later this year and UK firms within the scope of IFPR are required to effectively prepare for the new regime as the new regulations are due to apply from 1st January 2022.
