Kate Blatchford-Hick joined the FCA in 2015 from the Competition and Markets Authority. Kate has worked on and led a number of market studies including asset management, investment platforms and defined contribution workplace pensions. Kate is currently head of the Consumer Investments Market Analysis and Policy department. In the role, Kate has responsibility for the FCA’s horizon scanning and harm identification across consumer investment markets. Kate also leads the FCA’s portfolio of consumer investment policy work including distribution and advice policy.

Prior to joining the FCA in 2010 Kate worked as a lawyer specialising in financial services litigation in private practice. She has spent the majority of her career at the FCA working in Retail Enforcement and leading the relationship management and strategy team overseeing referrals to Enforcement. She is an experienced Head of Department having set up an Enforcement Department with a specific focus on Interventions and Threshold Conditions before leading an Investigation Department running some of the FCA’s most high profile, complex investigations. In 2022 she moved to Supervision and since then has headed up the Consumer Investments Department responsible for Investment Platforms, SIPP Operators, P2P and Crowdfunders as well as proactive teams that lead thematic projects, multi-firm work and complex case work with a specific focus on Financial Crime and Consumer Duty.

Fiona is Head of Policy at TPR, leading on changes to how TPR regulates areas such as value for money in DC schemes, funding for DB schemes and standards for trustees. She has recently returned for a loan as a Deputy Director at DWP where she led on the government response to effect of gilt rises on pension schemes, and ways to ensure that pensions schemes including defined benefit schemes invest more productively, as well as delivering consultations, legislation and reviews on areas including DB funding, pension scheme transfers and GMPs.

Jackie Boylan is the Global Head of Investor Servicing for Fidelity International. This role is responsible for providing a market leading service experience across Client Services, Resolutions, Guidance and Advice. Most recently she was Head of Adviser Solutions, the Fidelity adviser platform business managing over £50b in client assets. She is also the CEO of two boards, Fidelity Administration Services and Fidelity Wealth Management. In 2019 and 2021 she won the Women of the Year – Platforms at the Women in Investment Awards. Her team also won Best Platform of the Year in 2021 and were Runners Up in 2023. Before moving to the UK and joining Fidelity, Jackie worked in the Australian Financial Services industry for 20 years. Her prior roles encompassed varied responsibilities including Client Services, Regulatory programmes, Innovation and Process Improvement, Client Experience, Sales, Relationship Management and Strategy. Passionate about contributing beyond her day job, she has been the Executive Co-Sponsor of Global Gender Balance, and sat on the Global Diversity and Inclusion Council. She also forms part of the Global Early Careers Council. She is a co-founder of the FiCap Charity, a financial institutions charity focused on providing better futures for young Australians. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Business, as well as Graduate Diplomas in Applied Finance and Investment, Financial Planning and Superannuation Management. She has also studied at both the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia and Insead in Fontainebleau. Jackie is married and has two daughters. She loves running, playing netball, yoga, travelling, reading and sleeping when possible.

Andrew joined SJP in September 2013 and is currently responsible for Advice Policy, Technical Support, Product Proposition and Financial Planning and Advice Technology at St.James’s Place. Andrew is a graduate of the University of Bristol and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Simon is Head of Business Development for Technology and Enterprise Services. The Business Development function informs and implements strategic budgetary, policy and resource allocation decisions within Technology and Enterprise services. It also supports the formulation and execution of the business policy and change agenda. Simon has been with Fidelity since 2009, where he has performed a variety of previous roles, notably supporting Fidelity's advisory platform business in the UK as Head of Proposition. Prior to his time at Fidelity, Simon spent the early part of his career in the Independent Financial Adviser market and immediately prior to joining Fidelity, in the adviser software industry.

Ben is CEO at Life Moments, a purpose-driven fintech helping leading FS brands to deliver digital experiences that help people play life better. Through their range of Digital Coaches they have helped businesses from Aviva to Virgin Money and Mortgage Advice Bureau to Standard Life to accelerate their customer experience offerings. The business was borne out of Ben's passion for data-driven, customer obsession and he regularly engages FS boards and senior execs on the philosophy, technology and culture required to deliver better customer outcomes.

Dan Marsh is VP of Strategy and M&A at Octopus Money, Director at Octopus Legacy and Chair at amicable. He is passionate about the ability of financial planning to change people’s lives, helping them achieve financial peace of mind and make the choices that matter. Over the last 8 years, Dan has had a variety of roles across Octopus Group, building and leading businesses across investments, lending, financial advice and technology.

Liz joined Foresters in February 2023. She brings over 20 years of experience in a variety of customer and marketing roles across sectors including financial services, retail and telecommunications. Liz joined from B&Q where she held several leadership roles responsible for customer proposition, brand, customer insight and e-commerce. Liz has worked for 10 years in financial services, most recently at Bupa Global where she led the marketing team and prior to that at Bupa UK leading new proposition development. She also held a number of roles at Barclays Bank across both Business and Retail banking divisions. Liz has a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the CIM and holds a BSc in Geology from Imperial College, London.

Nathan is a research analyst working on pensions, savings, investments and wider public affairs. He is the architect of HL’s Savings & Resilience Barometer and leads the work on using behavioural science to improve client decision making. He’s been instrumental in developing analysis of engagement among workplace pension members. He joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 2003 and has worked in several areas of the business including as a financial adviser to individuals, and as a pension and benefits consultant to employers across the UK.

Tom is director of public policy at AJ Bell. He is a prominent spokesperson on retirement issues and his views are regularly sought by national print and broadcast media. Tom has successfully campaigned for a number of consumer-focused reforms, including banning pensions cold-calling and increasing pensions allowances, and he is passionate about improving outcomes for savers and retirees. Tom joined AJ Bell as senior analyst in April 2016, having previously spent seven years as a financial journalist. He has a degree in Economics from Newcastle University.

Jackie Spencer is the Head of Money and Pensions Policy & Strategy at the Money and Pensions Service. She is focused on developing propositions across money and pensions to help improve people’s financial wellbeing in the U.K. She has led the way in creating guidance and tools for automatic enrolment, pension freedoms, Pension Wise and many other key life events. People’s money lives are not linear, so Jackie is focused on creating cohesive strategies that focus on holistic money and pensions guidance. She’s played a key role in advice and guidance reviews focusing on consumers and their understanding of financial services. With over 25 years’ experience in consumer focused financial services, she creates strategies that take complex government policy, financial product and services markets which are translated into consumer centric services that help people take actionable steps to improve their money lives. She is Certified Financial Planner and holds a master’s degree in international finance.

Prakash Chandramohan is the Strategy Director for TISA, responsible for TISA’s overarching strategy and development plan as well as its Strategic & Technical Policy Initiatives. Prakash has over 20 years of financial services experience, including 8 years with Quilter plc where he was the Head of Product for their international investment platform and “owner” of key committees such as the International Investment Committee and Product Governance Committee. Prakash has extensive experience leading large scale regulatory change programmes and business rationalisation/transformation. He is an ex-investment banker with experience helping clients with M&A and capital raising.

Lisa has over 25 years experience in financial services with a breadth of regulatory knowledge and particular expertise in CASS. She spent 5 years at Architas Multi Manager as CF10a, and deputised for the COO in leading a function which included Third Party Governance, Operations and IT, as well as CASS. Prior to this Lisa spent 10 years with IFDS in various senior roles including as a Lead Relationship Manager and Head of European Cash and Stock Reconciliations. Lisa also spent some time with a Big 4 firm as a CASS SME. Prior to this Lisa worked in various operational roles in the banking sector.

Sophie joined Tisa in January and has already got stuck into our work on the Advice/Guidance Boundary Review, TISA's Inclusive Investing initiative, and leads our Financial Crime and Taxation committees. Before joining us, Sophie worked in Wholesale Markets Policy at the FCA, gaining experience in Primary and Secondary legislation, as well as FCA consultations. She has worked on Brexit and the LIBOR transition, and recently returned from a secondment to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
