Sarah is an industry speaker and industry professional, having delivered organisational resilience and business continuity programmes to organisations across the financial and legal sectors for close to ten years. She’s passionate about making the topic of resilience accessible to all, and to inspire the next generation of resilience professionals to enter into the industry. Sarah has presented as a keynote and session speaker at a variety of events and podcasts, including the Global Resilience Summit, BCI World and various Organisational Resilience conferences.

Salina Ladha leads the operational resilience capability at Baringa Partners LLP. She has worked with a range of financial services clients to review, design and implement their operational resilience frameworks, in response to the changing regulatory requirements in this area. She has also worked closely with industry associations, including as part of the Business Services working group under the Investment Association’s Operational Resilience Committee, and in her current role as deputy chair of the TISA operational resilience working group. Prior to consulting, Salina worked as a bank supervisor at the Prudential Regulation Authority, where she reviewed firms governance, risk and control frameworks. She also worked at both the Bank of England and HM Treasury on financial stability issues, including recovery and resolution planning and business continuity, and was involved in designing and participating in UK authority led market-wide exercises to test the financial sector’s response to industry-wide disruption.

Angus is an experienced technology lawyer advising on a range of sourcing and contracting matters, with a particular focus on data assets and emerging technologies in the Financial services sector.

Luke Scanlon advises some of the world's leading technology companies, banks and fintech businesses on a range of fintech and legal technology related issues and had been recognised by Legal500 and ranked as a leading fintech lawyer by Chambers. Luke is the Head of Fintech propositions and a Legal Director for Pinsent Masons. Luke assists businesses overcome regulatory, contractual and internal processes which restrict the take up of new technologies. He provides strategic legal planning and insight on a range of issues including regulator engagement, digital transformation, data protection, cyber security, cloud solutions, social and collaboration and general technology procurement for the financial services sector.

As Head of Custody Operations at WBS, James is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of Winterflood Business Services and CASS Oversight for Winterflood Securities as a whole. He has over 10 years’ experience within operational oversight and management and has been responsible for CASS across both retail and institutional sectors.

As Director of Risk and Technical Policy at TISA, Lisa has emerged as one of the leading voices in Consumer Duty, having brought together the industry to produce a comprehensive Best Practice Guide, and currently working to bring about a standardised framework for data sharing across the distribution chain. Lisa also leads TISA work on vulnerability, an area which she is particularly passionate about, having had lived experience. Lisa is an experienced outsourcing, risk and CASS specialist with over 25 years’ experience in financial services, with a particular focus on client protection. She has held senior roles encompassing oversight of outsourced delivery of services within the asset management sector to both retail and professional clients, and held the role of CF10a, an FCA approved role responsible for compliance to Client Asset Protection. Prior to this she held senior roles in a large outsourcing service provider, including as a Lead Client Relationship Manager responsible for delivering services appropriate for a regulated firm, and leading large operational finance teams based in the UK and India. She has significant experience in implementing oversight and risk management frameworks to effectively identify and manage the risks associated with outsourcing and offshoring regulated activities. During her time as a CF10a, she took a key role in a joint client/service provider remediation programme, gaining valuable experience and insight into meeting the regulators expectation in relation to service providers performance, and regulated firms oversight of its outsourcing arrangements. She has a breadth of regulatory knowledge, in particular with a deep understanding of SYSC; CASS; COBs; COLL; MiFID; and MiFID II and is accomplished in assisting senior managers to Board level in understanding regulatory obligations.
