TISA response to Care ISA

August 20, 2018

In response to the reports about the possible introduction of a Care ISA, Carol Knight, Chief Operations Officer from the ISA specialist organisation TISA said:
“The ISA regime needs to be made simpler, not more complex. We absolutely believe Government and the Financial Services industry should do more to help people make provision for care in old age, but complicating the ISA regime is probably not the way to do it.
“TISA believes there is a savings crisis in the UK. We need a combination of better financial education and better policy frameworks to help consumers prepare more effectively for their retirement. This is something we are working on with government and industry stakeholders. A Care ISA is not a silver bullet solution.”
